One of two Wildcat mascots for the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.

Wilbur Wildcat was the first costumed mascot of the university following the trend in the early 1960's of replacing live animal mascots with more commercially accessible costumed ones. In 1959 Wilbur debuted to enormous success and in 1986 a female mascot, Wilma Wildcat, was created and "married" to Wilbur.
