The Heir is the final boss of Tunic, and is ultimately revealed to be the latest in a chain of successors. The Heir must be imprisoned in an astral plane to maintain the immortality of their civilization, with each new Heir being imprisoned upon defeating the last one. In the alternate ending, the Heir is instead befriended by the Ruin Seeker, whereupon they renounce their powers and regain corporeal form. This version wears a similar outfit to the Ruin Seeker (a green tunic and red scarf), but is significantly taller than them.
