The second Saturday in July is International Skinny Dip Day, the final day of National Nude Recreation Week. Created by the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) in 2018, its roots date back to 1976 when body positivity advocates Lee Baxandall and Eugene Callen proposed a National Nude Weekend in July. In 1992, Baxandall's Naturist Society later expanded this into Nude Recreation Week.
