Christopher Poole, better known for his online name, Moot, is the founder of 4chan and served as the website's main administrator from October 1, 2003 until stepping down on Janurary 21, 2015.

Moot, as a character, is portrayed either as a female light-skinned cat humanoid with white cat ears and brown short hair (sometimes possessing a white face) or a chibi anthro cat of monotone white fur, and notably wearing both a pink bow ribbon and a pink shirt spelling their name, often stylized as "M O O T" with heart symbols in place of the O's.
