SCP-3166, a.k.a. "Gorefield" is an anomalous object in the SCP Foundation Mythos.

SCP-3166 is an anomalous pataphysical humanoid entity. Specifically, it is a version of the character Garfield the Cat that first appeared following an infamous issue of the comic strip on 10/23/1989 where Garfield wakes up in his home and spends weeks trying to find his family. It is believed that the version of Garfield that appears in this comic and SCP-3166 are one in the same, that Garfield felt so abandoned that it was able to will itself out of the comic strip and into the physical world.

The exterior layer of SCP-3166's body resembles a crudely-made costume of the character Garfield, which field inspection has shown to be composed of legitimate cat fur. However, analysis of SCP-3166's composition in the field has shown that its interior mass is lasagna. The meat composing the lasagna is human and DNA tests confirm it to be a genetic match for Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield.

SCP-3166 appears whenever the Garfield Media Franchise is performing poorly in the public zeitgeist. When this occurs SCP-3166 will begin moving towards and will eventually attack individuals prominently associated with the Garfield Media Franchises' failure. Including, current or former writers/artists in the Garfield Franchise, writer/artists for rival comic strips, critics of the Garfield Franchise, individuals who parody Garfield, and Jim Davis himself.

SCP-3166 will attack the aforementioned individuals by bludgeoning or maiming them with nearby objects before pouncing on top of them and pinning them under its weight. It will then either disembowel itself or otherwise begin regurgitating lasagna from its body and will begin force feeding it to its victim, resulting in choking or the rupturing of the stomach. SCP-3166 however can be distracted by freshly made lasagna outside its own body and can be easily captured. It will eventually de-manifest once the Garfield Media Franchise is on track, however, this means that the Foundation has to actively ensure that the Garfield Franchise never fails or SCP-3166 will remanifest and wreak havoc.

Jim Davis himself is designated as SCP-7966 and is apparently considered the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. SCP-3166's existence and anomalous properties are symptomatic of Jim Davis' own properties.
