Baybayin (ᜊᜌ᜔ᜊᜌᜒᜈ᜔) is a Philippine script (suyat) historically used to write a variety of indigenous languages written and spoken in the Philippines, most notably with Tagalog. Since the Spanish colonization of the Philippines, the script has been displaced with Latin script for most languages that used it, although in recent years it has since been picking back up in modern usage for cultural and artistic purposes.
