Character: mr. fox (adventure time)
Mr. Fox is a minor recurring character in the American Animated series Adventure Time.
He first appears in Season 2 Episode 5 "Storytime" where Jake the Dog is sick and can only be cured if he is told a story he has never heard before that has "romance, fighting, suspense, and a happy ending". Finn the Human attempts to create a story based on true events while wandering through the forest. During his expedition he finds Mr. Fox and a female Goose named Boobafina and forces the two to kiss to create an element of romance. This greatly upsets the two animals since Boobafina was in love with Mr. Goose and now he won't want her since she's been with another male and Mr. Fox, while attracted to Boobafina wanted the kiss to happen naturally and now it will always be awkward between the two of them.
Mr. Fox appears sporadically through out the series struggling with stress, depression, or loneliness as a result of his hang-ups with Finn and Boobafina. He is shown to have the ability to project his Astral/Subconscious Self during the wee hours of the night who seems to know things that he is not consciously aware of. By the times of Distant Land's "Together Again", Mr. Fox has died of old age and replaced New Death as the Ruler of the Dead World, now going by the title Mr. Death.
Mr. Fox has the appearance of an anthropomorphic red fox who stands on two legs, although when he runs he tends to do so on four legs. He is voiced by Tom Herpich, a storyboard artist and creator of the Cartoon Network Mini-Series Over the Garden Wall.
