SCP-001-MANN, aka, "The Spiral Path" is one of the many proposals for SCP-001 in the SCP Foundation Mythos.

SCP-001 is a circular gravel path in a wooded area. When traveled in a counter-clockwise direction, the trail is continuously uphill, even after reaching the original point. When traveled in a clockwise direction, the trail shows the same amount of uphill and downhill travel, as expected.

A prototypical version of The Foundation discovered and began to experiment on SCP-001-MANN in 1891. A physicist named Aaron Siegel began to create formulas and such based on their research of SCP-001 creating new anomalies like SCP-005 "The Skeleton Key". As time went on however, the Foundation kept trying to make more and more anomalies to solve their problems or to sell them to other countries and organizations that would become rival GoI's. Things continued to Spiral out of control and continue to do so to this day, leading to the creation of extremely dangerous, potentially world ending anomalies such as SCP-682, SCP-106, and even other SCP-001 proposals.

SCP-001-MANN is classified as Embla, meaning that the object is used by the Foundation to create other anomalies.
