Character: scp-3999
SCP-3999, aka "I Am At the Center of Everything that Happens to Me" or "LordStonefish", is an Apollyon class anomalous object in the SCP Foundation Mythos.
Apollyon class objects differ from Keter Class objects. Where Keter Class Entities are defined as anomalies that are likely to escape containment if left alone, and difficult to re-contain after they escape; Apollyon class objects are defined as objects that will inevitably escape, and once they do, they will never be re-contained ever again.
SCP-3999 is a parasitic hyperrealistic narrativistic reality bender that takes the form of a vaguely described, many-eyed, monster. When Junior Researcher James Talloran entered its containment chamber, SCP-3999 latched on to them and began altering reality ad infinitum to come up with new ways to physically and psychologically torture Talloran. It is later revealed, that SCP-3999 requires a character within the fictional world of the SCP Foundation to torture, without a victim, it has no power. Doctor Talloran is able to defeat SCP-3999 after millions of years of torment by "getting used to it" eventually entering the real world and killing himself and LordStonefish.
Out of universe, SCP-3999 is a "Self-Insert" author avatar of LordStonefish, the author of SCP-3999 and its associated tales. He explained, that the idea of SCP-3999 was based on his frustrations with trying to come up with a generic murder monster that wreaked havoc. The only thing consistent in every draft was the main character was Talloran who would usually be on the main person on the receiving end of the anomaly's actions. SCP-3999 is LordStonefish, trying to come up with ways to torture or kill Talloran, thinking they aren't good enough, and wiping the slate clean to try again.
