Bestalsh is a large, semi-feral, anthropomorphic lizard in the Sigma AU. She’s about 8 feet tall standing upright, 12 feet long from head to tail, and weighs roughly 600 pounds. Her body is a muscular fusion of lizard and human features, blackish-green scales, dark red hair and eyes, curved horns, and mammalian breasts despite being egg-laying. She resembles a reptilian pug with a gorilla-like evolutionary status​.

She was created through brutal genetic experiments involving human DNA and a Brazilian bush anole. The experiment went wrong, and after a lab explosion, she escaped. While folklore offers various origins, the truth is she’s a mutated hybrid survivor who now lives in a remote cave, rarely visited by travelers​.

Bestalsh is gentle, passive, and childlike despite being over 100 years old. Her intelligence is low, and though she can speak some English, she’s easily frustrated and often interrupts with curious questions. She laughs at gunfire and avoids violence​.

She primarily eats large rodents and small herbivores like deer but enjoys berries and gifts brought by visitors​.
