rigor mortis

The rigor mortis, also known as postmorten stiffness, is the second death phase after algor mortis.

A corpse in rigor mortis state has their limbs harder to manipulate due to their stiffness, but depending of the weather, the dead body will relax in one or two days to start the livor mortis.

A common rigor mortis pose is the "fighter's stance" when the arms and the legs flexes up and sometimes the body will look like it's "getting up" by itself during this phase.
