Hard Vore refers to any image depicting a character being eaten alive "in pieces" by another character - which can mean being torn apart or having pieces bitten off - or chewed up if the predator is larger than the prey. Some images featuring hard vore involve the prey character being butchered and/or cooked before consumption, these images should be also be tagged as cooking with furs.

Hard Vore should always be tagged as Explicit.

Important Note: While most, if not all depictions of Hard Vore are also inherently Oral Vore, it's uncommon to have both tags on a single image. Some examples of exceptions to this general rule would be if a prey character is swallowed after being chewed "in one piece" by a much larger predator character, or if the prey character is swallowed whole after sustaining an injury from being bitten or having pieces torn off of them and eaten.

Compare with Soft Vore which involves the character being swallowed whole and alive, without any injuries from biting or chewing.
