The Varwolf is one of the many species of Neopet. As their name — a portmanteau of "Vampire" and "Werewolf" — suggests, they physically have many canine features, but with some bat features such as large ears, sharp fangs, and a leafed nose.

They were initially created on April 1, 2005 as one of the 50 fake species announced as a joke. They were exceedingly popular, but despite this were not one of the options in the poll to defictionalize one of them, which was won by the the Llamameeah (later known as the Gnorbu). On March 20, 2025 — nearly twenty years to the day of the original prank — they were announced to be returning as part of the site's 25th anniversary celebration.
