Steyr Arms is a firearms manufacturer based in Austria. Founded in 1864 in the Austro-Hungariam Empire, they primarily made arms for the Imperial Army. After World War 1 it was folded in to the conglomerate Steyr Daimler Puch and focused on making parts for Steyr automobiles. After Austrian independence was restored following World War 2 arms production under the Steyr brand name resumed. Their most well-known product is the Steyr AUG bullpup assult rifle
