Under normal circumstances, the clitoris is concealed within the clitoral hood much like a male’s penis is concealed within a foreskin. Normally, it’s only seen via spreading. Similarly to the penis, however, a clitoris may be engorged with blood during arousal, resulting in a clitoral erection. This allows the clitoris to emerge from the clitoral hood and to become visible even without spreading. Use this tag whenever a clitoris can be seen emerging from the hood on its own, or (even when spreading) can be seen emerging more prominently than usual. Commonly witnessed during sex and masturbation.
