Pirelli & C. S.p.A. (società per azioni) is an Italian consumer tire manufacturing company, and fifth largest tire manufacturer in the world. Based in Milan, the company operates in over 160 countries, manufacturing tires for primarily cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. Founded in 1872, pirelli originally specialized in the production and refinement of rubber and other similar products. Before eventually transitioning to a manufacturing of rubber based products such as electricity cables and tires after the end of the second world war. During this time, Pirelli also engaged in limited investment into fashion, renewable energy, and mobility equipment. Pirelli would eventually sell off its electrical cable rubber manufacturing sector, transitioning entirely to a tire manufacturing company in 2010.

Since 1907, Pirelli has been sponsoring many different sports, including football and motorsports. With the company acting as an exclusive partner of many motorsports events including the Formula One World Championship.
