A bondage device used to immobilize someone by trapping them between two layers of latex or plastic.

The most common depiction is a rectangular frame made out of pipe, inside of what is basically a large latex or plastic bag. Someone gets into the bag, and then a vacuum is applied to the pipe, removing the air from the bag. This causes the rubber to conform closely to the person's body, immobilizing them.

One side of the bag usually has a hole in it. The hole can be big enough for the person's neck, such that their entire head is outside of the bag. Or, it can be just big enough for a breathing tube, so the person can be completely inside the bag and still breathe. For breath play, there is no hole.

The latex or plastic is often black, but other colors, and even transparent, are also possible.

The vacuum bed is often shown laying flat on the floor, or flat on a regular bed, but vertical and other positions are possible.
