Pizza is the main playable protagonist of Chicory: a Colorful Tale. However, any name can be chosen for them when creating a new game. But if left undesignated, Pizza is typically chosen as the first recommendation, thus leading to them being commonly referred to by that name.

Pizza is a small ambiguous gendered dog with a bean-shaped head, a large black nose, and large flopped ears. Game art also tends to depict Pizza with a short, puffy tail. At the beginning of the game, they wear a black bandana hat and white overalls. However, the appearance of Pizza can be changed by the player, both outfit-wise and color scheme-wise, with new hats and outfits being unlocked via gifts found throughout the game.
