- This theme usually counts as inviting.
- Unlike inviting, this tag should not be used for presenting or other body language (presentational) defining themes. This is used primarily for verbal communication, pictographics, and gesturing examples.
- Unlike inviting, this tag may involve aggressive postures that are usually incompatible with the concept. A begging character may not take no as an answer. A character offering sex may be assertive or inviting, dominant or submissive.
- Offering sex may not be perceived to be consensual by the recipient. Be sure to apply the imminent_sex / imminent_rape tags as necessary.

An offer can be requested through a note, or other message in a manner similar to other request tags.
