Concept art from the Super Mario Odyssey Artbook reveals a scrapped idea of having Female Goombas, showcasing it to be quite different look-wise from the Average Goomba.
The Female Goomba has a lankier, longer body, lighter colors, rosy cheeks, only one visible fang and most noticeable, hair.
The idea seems to have been repurposed to instead include Goombette, who is a more traditional Female Goomba.
