Tensions (primarily racial) escalating in Los Angeles during the 1992 riots against the neglible sentence given to police in the Rodney King case, prompted many Korean business owners in "Koreatown," especially those with past military service, to take arms to prevent property and personal damages. These are their stories.
Re-popularised during the George Floyd protest to give special attention to racial unrest amongst minority groups.
