Rei (テル Teru) is the male protagonist character of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, acting as either the game's playable character if he is chosen, or as a rival to the playable character if his counterpart Akari is chosen. As the protagonist, he is sent back in time to Hisui by Arceus, given the mission to seek out all Pokémon living in the region. As a non-playable character, Rei works as an assistant to Professor Laventon who assists the player and challenges them to battles.
