Created by Sanrio in 1975. My Melody is a white rabbit wearing a pink hood adorned with a bow or flower. Often one or both of her ears are drooping.

My Melody is friendly and well-meaning but also somewhat airheaded. Her birthday is 18 January. Her favorite food is almond pound cake. She lives in Mari Land with her parents and brother Rhythm.

From 2005-9 she starred in the anime Onegai My Melody, where she and her friends fought Kuromi to prevent the Dark Power from destroying the world.
