Watery eyes is a visual effect used to depict a character on the verge of tears / crying, or to depict crying in a way that attracts sympathy towards that character. The eyes should appear distorted as if there was water over them.

Not to be confused with

• puppy_eyes - It is a related term, but it is not watery eyes without the distortion effects.
