scapular
A "monastic scapular"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scapular#Monastic_scapular is a type of religious garment that hangs down the front and the back from the shoulders to around the feet. It is open on the sides, and is usually around around the width of the chest.
Not to be confused with
- tabard, which is usually much shorter and wider.
