Puar is a secondary character in the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z manga and anime. Physically, he resembles a semi-humanoid cat with light blue-grey fur and tan fur on his face, belly, inner ears and tail-tip.

Puar is a shape-changer like his friend Oolong and can transform himself into almost anything, though unlike Oolong he can keep that form for as long as he wants, Oolong only being able to keep a form for five minutes.

The character is male, but in the English dubbed version of the anime the character's gender was changed to female and thus most artwork of Puar works under this belief.
