The advice meme, or advice animal meme format is a specific type of meme that was originally popular in early internet culture (late 2000's, early 2010's) which showcased an animal or animal head with text giving a piece of nonsensical advice, knowledge, or an other absurd message. Often, they would include a background with colorful rays coming out from behind the animal, but were not constrained to having a background like that.
