Colecovision is a video game console developed by Coleco that launched in North America in 1982, and in Europe the following year. The console featured a top loaded cartridge slot, and a storage area for its two wired controllers on the top of the console. It has a rather distinctive notch for an expansion module on the front face of the otherwise rectangular construction. The controller consists of a dial at the top and a number keypad on the face. However distinctive this may sound, Mattel's Intellivision also had a dialed controller, but it has gold on its face, and the dial was on the bottom of the controller.
