post #1635802 post #3783276 post #894492
Mismatched sexual dimorphism refers to instances of sexual dimorphism when a character displays species-specific secondary sexual characteristics that mismatch their apparent sex. These are not anatomically correct.
For the purposes of this tag, male-bodied characters (andromorph and maleherm) are considered "male" and female-bodied characters (gynomorph and herm) are considered "female".
Common Examples:
- A female lion with a mane, typically only males grow manes
- A female deer with antlers
- Note that reindeer have unisex antlers, and should not have this tag added
- Various bird species where males have more colourful plumage than females, such as...
- Various Pokémon species with sexual dimorphism — e.g. a male Pikachu with a cleft tail (and heart shaped marking on the end of his tail)
