The bridge position is a front-entry sex position that is a variant of the crab position in which the penetrating character is kneeling or crouching (standard pose is a kneeling position) instead of lying underneath their partner. The other character assumes the "crab" pose, which has their arms extended behind their back and legs either planted on the ground to support their weight, or held in the air by the partner.

Many variants of this theme exists and this tag will become a placeholder for variants until a better place for them is found. Variants include the character having either their arms, or legs break with the typical crab pose, and supporting the character in other means. An example is having their legs wrapped around around the penetrating partner.

Not to be confused with

• arch position – A similar position to this position, but the support is usually on the shoulder area instead.
• reverse wheelbarrow position – penetrating partner is standing.
• bridge pose – Not a sex position.
