C.J. is a special character in the Animal Crossing series, first introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He is a "seasports commentator" who runs the Fishing Tourney in New Horizons, taking up the role of (his presumed father) Chip from previous games. During his non-Tourney visits to the player's island, he will challenge the the player to catch three fish of a certain size in a row for his livestream. If the player succeeds, then he will buy any other fish the player brings to him for 1.5 times the regular selling price.

Chip is a tan furred beaver with large eyebrows, freckles, blue eyes, and a small tuft of yellow hair. His default clothing includes a black baseball cap with a yellow brim and accents that he wears backwards, a dark pair of sunglasses on his head, a white short-sleeved hoodie, a yellow and black puffer vest, and brown camo shorts. Being an avid angler and livestreamer, he carries a fishing rod and likes to take multiple pictures and selfies with his NookPhone.

His business partner and roommate (according to an official English-language guidebook) is Flick, who runs the Bug-Off.
