A generic tag for any kind of visual pattern (checkered, striped) etc. featured somewhere in an image. If possible a more specific tag should be used.

Body Patterns

There are two types of patterns that should be treated with distinction: the texture of the body type itself, and the markings on the body type.

Generally the texture of the body itself does not count as a pattern unless it is particularly well defined. Arbitrary fur shapes would not count towards this tag for example. The specific body tag should be used instead.

Patterns that are located on the body itself should be tagged as markings, or more commonly on skin as tattoos. Not all markings or tattoos are considered patterns.

Many pattern tags also have a corresponding markings tag.
