Miles Prower, better known as Tails, is a male character from the Sonic the Hedgehog media franchise. He's appeared in multiple cartoons, comic books, video games, and other properties released by Sega. Alongside Sonic himself, he's one of the best known of Sega's many characters.

The name "Miles Prower" is a pun on "miles per hour", which is a reference to the famed speed of multiple individuals in the series. While portrayals vary, he's usually an eight-year-old fox with a color scheme somewhat mixing orange, gold, and yellow on his body plus two tails (similar to the mythological Japanese "kitsune"). His standard outfit is a pair of white gloves and a pair of red, white-toed shoes. His tails give him the ability to fly (hence the nickname). Personality-wise, he's usually happy and optimistic, showing a more easy-going, sweeter side to Sonic's famous "attitude".
