Mao Mao (whose full name is Mao Mao Mao) is the main protagonist in the animated series Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart.

He is a black cat with green eyes, black pupils and two hairs of fur sticking out of his face, with a red cape and crimson gloves. He wears a red belt around his waist with crimson kneepads and red leg warmers. He wields a golden katana he named "Geraldine", which has the power of light. He used to have a tail but he lost it by being crushed by a boulder.

He is very heroic and will help anyone in danger and fight anything in his way in order to become a legendary hero. He also known for being very turbulent and short fused, constantly being angry and yelling when his plans don't go his way. He has many personal issues due to neglect from his father and family in general.
