The Humvee is the popular nickname for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), a family of light trucks and related derivative vehicles adopted by the United States military in 1983.

It replaced a number of older vehicles in US military service, including the iconic Willys MB "Jeep", and has since been exported to many other countries. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Humvee was also adapted for sale on the commercial market as the Hummer H1.
