A common sight in mad scientist laboratories, a stasis chamber is a large container of some liquid used to preserve creatures in stasis or just contain them, modify them using large quantities of a liquid formula or some other method, perform other "scientific experiments" on them, or any combination of the above. Most typically the characters in stasis chambers are unconscious or barely conscious, but not necessarily.

A stasis chamber may also be non-technological, and for example, biological in nature. Such are cases where monsters create stasis chambers for their prey to sustain them, either as incubators for their young, or as food to be eaten later.
