Simba the King Lion is an Italian 52-episode cartoon that takes many elements from several Disney properties, most notably The Lion King, and also incorporating the character of Shere Khan from The Jungle Book (even though there are no tigers in the wild in Africa) as its main antagonist. The plot is kicked off with "The King Lion" (similar to Mufasa) being shot dead by poachers.
