Splinter (often known as Master Splinter) is a character from the ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' (often called just ''TMNT'') media franchise. He is a male anthropomorphic rat with grey fur. An expert martial artist, he looks after the titular turtles as a father figure and is treated by them, in turn, with devoted loyalty. All of them possess a strong moral compass and work to protect the innocent as well as defeat evil.
