Rae Bruner is a Canadian cartoonist, known for the webcomics Faulty Logic, Dissonance, and most recently, Recursion. During production of Faulty Logic she employed a split-personality alias through the comic's lead characters, Fox "tempestryder" Bruner as illustrator and Jalyss Barclay as writer. When Dissonance launched in 2009, Rae revealed Fox and Jalyss were the same person, although she continued to write Faulty Logic from their point of view.

Rae subsequently created a new avatar based on the characters, a red fox vixen with Jalyss's slicked-back white hair. She also owns two character fursuits, an unnamed wolf and a dragon named Ceyla.
