Backstory from Furiffic :
Like all of my characters, Nikolai doesn't have much of a backstory. He was born to Barbara Stevenson at the American Embassy in Russia, and his father, Vadim Sokolov, was nowhere to be found. Barbara, thinking that naming Nikolai after his father's father would hopefully bring him back, but this was not the case.

After moving back to the United States with her newborn child, Barbara tried her hardest to make the most for her son, going as far as working several jobs. She had another son, Chris Stevenson, when Nikolai was 7. When he turned 16, Nikolai was able to take over some of her responsibilities until her death when he turned 20. He was denied custody of Chris, but occasionally visits his brother at his foster home. Now, at age 24, Nikolai handles upper management of several fast food restaurants in the Southern California area.
