Kokonoe Mercury is a female catgirl who is a scientist from the Blazblue series. She is a young relative of Nine The Phantom, Celica A. Mercury, and Jubei.

Appearance:
She is a young adult cat-girl with pink hair and pink fur. She has amber colored eyes and is always seen with a pair of glasses. She has two pink tails. She has a thin build and wears an altered Kaka style scientist coat with oversized sleeves. She wears a pair of red capri pants lowered enough to reveal black underwear, with a black belt adorned by a large cat bell.

Personality:
She is an intelligent cynical scientist with a serious personality. She is cranky, foul-mouthed, and has a strong dislike of Terumi. She frowns upon racism. She is a Hikikomori due to her anti-social behavior and lack of interest in going outdoors. She also has a strong craving for sweets and is almost never seen without her trademark lollipop. As mentioned by other characters, she is genuinely a good person despite her personality.

Abilities:
She creates numerous inventions. She has the ability to create prosthetic limbs. She has hundred of nuclear devices stockpiled in her laboratory. She utilizes a vast array of her inventions when in combat. Kokonoe brings forth her many creations and tools such as robots, a wrench, a specialized “drill hammer”, a freeze ray, rocket fists, and a gigantic Mecha-Tager. Her Kaka ancestry gives her cat-like reflexes. She could land on her feet and has quick movement.

She is an inventor and quite possibly one of the strongest character in the Blazblue universe as discussed by both Hakumen and Hazama. She works with Sector Seven, a research group that is interested in magic through scientific means. It is her life's priority to stop the Black Beast from from ever coming back and reigning terror to the people of the world.
