pschent

The pschent, sekhemti, double crown, or the two powerful ones was an Egyptian crown worn in Egypt.

This crown symbolised the unification of nothern and southern Egypt by combining their crowns into one, worn by kings to show himself as ruler of both. It was a combination of the red, chair-like deshret with the white, tall hedjet, the white hedjet residing inside the hollow deshret.
