Species: silky anteater
The silky anteater, also known as the pygmy anteater, is a species of anteater and the only currently living member of the genus Cyclopes.
They are the smallest living anteaters, and have proportionately shorter snouts and larger skulls than other species. Like their name implies, their fur is notably dense, silky, and soft. It ranges from grey to yellowish in colour, with a silvery sheen. Many subspecies have darker streaks and paler underparts or limbs. The claws on their fore feet give them the ability to almost encircle a branch it's clinging to. They also have partially prehensile tails.
