Bonneters are a ghostly hat-like race found in the region of Bonneton within the Cap Kingdom of Super Mario Odyssey. They have bodies reminiscent of Eeries, hat-shaped heads, and big eyes with irises of various colors.

They are able to take on the appearances of other hats, such as Mario's signature Cap, and "capture", i.e., possess other beings or inanimate objects. This is demonstrated throughout the game through Cappy.

Male Bonneters have top hat-shaped heads with a more pronounced eyebrow ridge while female Bonneters have cloche hat-shaped heads with ribbons and wingtip eyelashes.
