Cinemagraphs are still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs, forming a video clip. They are published as an animated GIF or in other video formats, and can give the illusion that the viewer is watching an animation. In the case of animated posts, the tag applies to animations which are very minor and/or repetitive, such as color changing or blinking.

This is often seen in works involving "hidden/trick" animated png's involving a character blinking, or mind control images involving spiraling eyes.
