"You can only choose one, trainer."

"Starter trio" is a popular fanmade term in the Pokémon fandom meant to refer to the three starting Pokémon belonging to the Pokémon Professor of the region where the adventure takes place.

Three starting Pokémon of different types are offered to the player at level 5: a Grass-type, a Fire-type, and a Water-type.
(The only main games that are exceptions to this rule are Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!! )

This tag can only be used if:

① The trio is from the same region
② The trio is visible on the same post together

Note: This tag can be used regardless of whether the Starter trio interact together or not, regardless of their gender, and regardless of their evolutionary forms
