Alex Brady is a character created by Bering (BeringF1 on DeviantArt). Originally a human born in Ireland, she was transformed into an arctic fox Kitsune in an event called the Change that seeded the world with magic. After spending several years traveling through Europe, the Arctic, and Canada, she returned to Ireland and became a police constable. Patient, soft-spoken, and dedicated to helping people, she prefers to defuse a conflict through words, but doesn't make idle threats and won't back down once she's drawn a line.

Alex's backstory foreshadows that she is destined to combat the leader of a rival Kitsune "clan".
