A gryphon or griffin is a mythological avian creature traditionally consisting of a mix between an eagle and a lion. In general, a gryphon is a feral quadruped with bird-like features such as feathers, a beak, or wings and a cat-like mammalian body with a butt and distinct shoulders. A leonine tail or tail feathers and prick ears are common. Gryphons are often but not always depicted with mammalian genitalia (sheath/balls/vulva) and an anus. Anthro gryphons have these characteristics but are bipedal. An anthro bird can usually be distinguished from an anthro gryphon by having no cat-like features.
