Species: liger
The liger is a hybrid pantherine species, being the offspring of a male lion and a female tiger. They are currently the largest living pantherine species on the planet, and retain aspects of both parents such as a love for swimming and a high sociability.
They are distinct when compared to a seemingly similar hybrid, the tigon. They are not as common as the liger and not nearly as big, mainly due to the inheritance of specific growth genes from the mother.
