An undergarment worn around the waist like a belt, with two straps on each side hanging down. These straps are clipped to stockings or thigh_highs to keep them from falling down.

Garter belts are distinct from garters, which are simply scrunchy-like bands worn around the thighs.

If the straps are directly attached to panties, corset, etc. then use garter_straps instead.
